The Embassy of Cuba in Portugal once again opens its doors to commemorate another year of La Casa del Habano – Lisbon. Do note that this event was held by the same embassy alongside Empor S.A. which is the exclusive distributor of Habanos in Portugal as well as the franchise La Casa del Habano. This event was held on 9th February marking 15 years since the first Casa del Habano was established in Portugal.
The evening kicked off with a speech from the hosts, H. E. Mrs Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina Ambassador and Charge d’ Affairs of Cuba in Portugal, Mr.Pedro Ramos Rocha who is the general director of Empor S.A and Mr Luis Ramalho who is the franchisee. All the guests were filled with happiness upon seeing how proud the owner was of La Casa Del Habano which is located in the heart of Portugal.
The event perfectly catered to the luxury and tradition theme of the franchise, providing a wonderful evening to more than 90 guests, among whom were the ambassadors of various countries appointed in Portugal. The guests were able to enjoy two warmly welcomed Habanos sponsored by the greatest connoisseurs of cigars: Rey del Mundo Templarios of Regional Edition 2021 made explicitly for the Portuguese market (54 x 120 mm) and Bolívar New Gold Medal (48 x 165mm long), scheduled vitola for La Casa Del Habano launched in 2023 at the twenty-third Habanos festival.
To go with the Habanos, a variety of high-end beverages that suited the occasion were served, such as Ron Havana Club, White and Red Wine from Quinta dos Carvalhais, Nordés Gin, and Sandeman Port Wine cocktails, Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old Whiskey, and Taittinger Brut Reserve Champagne.
Cuban musicians and singers assisted the activity, and the combination transformed the evening into a typical Cuban show that clients could enjoy in the company alongside one of the finest ambassadors which is Habano.
La Casa del Habano-Lisbon, at Rua Nova dos Mercadores, Parque das Nações, Lisbon, started as Casa del Habano back in 2008, before it next door to the El Habanero store which was opened in 2005. Their excellently trained staff is always armed with personalized service, smoking terrace, and an extensive catalog of smoking and beverage accessories to complement or enhance the Habanos that have turned it into a favorite spot for customers to enjoy a wonderful #habanosmoment.
